Mouse ditemukan oleh Douglas Engelbart dari Stanford Research Center pada tahun 1963. Mouse terlalu populer karena cara kerjanya yang terlalu mudah dioperasikan dan diakses. Sekarang, di zaman modern GUI Anda tidak dapat mengaksesnya dengan mudah tanpa Mouse.

Untuk Mengoperasikan Mouse memiliki Tombol Kiri, Kanan dan Roller. Tombol mouse kiri digunakan untuk memilih item apa pun sementara klik dua kali pada item mengaktifkan aplikasi atau mengopersikan sebuah program Software komputer.
